Call for Entries
Entry Deadline: Friday, April 7, 2017 by 5:00 pm

 Submit an Entry

All good things must come to an end… and after a dozen years, 2017 will mark the final year of the Digital Voice Awards. K–12 educators from any school in Los Angeles County are invited to submit exemplary classroom instructional technology projects for the 2017 Digital Voice Awards. Each teacher may enter a maximum of two student projects or one student and one teacher-created project. Each entry should be submitted separately and its category clearly identified.

Student-made curricular projects may be entered in up to two curricular award categories (English/Language Arts, Mathematics, History/Social Science, Science, & Other curricular or special emphasis) and may be created with a variety of technology tools that are listed on the entry form. A complete Entry Form, including credits/citations, a lesson objective with California Content Standards correlations, and release for use must accompany each submission. It is the intent that select projects be posted online as a model for other California educators.

Entries must have been created between January 2015 and the entry deadline. Both the online electronic Entry Form (which must be printed out and submitted with the project) and the project must be received by Friday, April 7, 2017 by 5:00 p.m. Entry materials will not be returned.

The printed Entry Form and project should be sent through school mail/Jet Mail/Blue Bag (except LAUSD), U.S. Mail, or delivered in person to:

     Digital Voice Awards 2017
     Multimedia Services
Los Angeles County Office of Education
     9300 Imperial Highway

Entries will be judged by classroom teachers and technology specialists using the scoring guidelines available online. All entrants will receive a Certificate of Participation. Award recipients in each category will receive an award and projects will be displayed in the Media Gallery. Due to a lack of resources, there will be no virtual celebration for this, the final year of DVA.

The Digital Voice Award Resources page, includes PDF documents to help you prepare your entry. You will also be able to view past year programs and videos of winning projects from previous years. Also, view the Digital Voice Award Virtual Celebration from past years.
