Das Buoyancy
Production Team: William Brogie, Sue Cabezas, Olga Gaeta, Diane Kay, Judy Lewis, Fred von Dohlen, This lesson plan will extend over a three-day period. In this lesson students will learn the buoyant force of an object in fluid is an upward force equal to the weight of the fluid the object has displaced by building a submarine and making a movie of its successful sea trials submerging and surfacing.
Freeze Frame
Production Team: Frank Burns, Paul Burns, Tricia Davenport, James Elliott, Richard Feay, Doug Foster, Roberto Garza, Zan Raab, Rosi Tamargo. Students will be exploring heat transfer through conduction. Students will be engaged in learning via questioning, a video clip followed by a quiz, using temperature probes to explore heat transfer through selected materials and a culminating task to demonstrate their knowledge through creating a newscast video.

The Physics Zone – The Curse of Newton
Production Team: Hannah Bennett, Rod Heaton, Bill Mann, Christine Shang, Vanessa Ziff. Students will create a video project to demonstrate their understanding of a law of physics.
Science News Network
Production Team: Nadine Broekman, Krista Carlson, Jose Duenas, Daphne Dixon, Sharon Liu, Lorraine Kajikawa. The students will put on a science news show on volcanoes. At the same time breaking news will go on location to an actual volcano eruption.
