What are the benefits of maintaining a Multimedia Services contract?

Research shows that when teachers use a few simple strategies when using media within the context of their instructional time, students understand and retain more information. Consequently, multimedia use should be encouraged when working toward increasing student achievement.

For the approximate cost of one textbook per classroom, Multimedia Services provides thousands of multimedia titles to teachers in member classrooms to assist teaching and learning. Online video streaming allows video-on-demand delivered over the Internet. All titles are searchable by subject area, keyword, and California Content Standards. The standards search is an especially useful tool to find specific multimedia resources to help teach concepts and skills to help students meet the standards.
